Munster beef up pack with big Springbok lock

After the departure of CJ Stander, the Munster pack will gain some new South African flavour as it has been announced that giant second-row Jason Jenkins has signed with the club.
The 2.01m, 122kg forward will be a definite asset in the set piece while his energy in broken play – which also renders him appropriate on the flank – is sure to put Munster on the front foot often.
After plying his trade with the Bulls for several years, Jenkins made his Springbok debut against Wales in 2018. It remains his only international cap to date.
He currently plays for Toyota Verblitz in the Japanese Top League.
It is likely that he will partner with fellow Springbok RG Snyman in the near future – an interesting prospect for Munster.
The news will come as a disappointment to the Bulls and head coach Jake White, who was planning on luring the 25 year-old back to his hometown of Pretoria.
