Munster Announce 2020 Player of the Year

Back-row hard man CJ Stander has been named Munster’s Player of the Year for 2020. It is the third time in six years that the 30 year old South African-born number 8 was won the prestigious award for his club.

Stander featured prominently in the top stats performers for the 2019-20 Pro14 season as well as the Champions Cup.

Munster derive endless benefit from Stander’s uncompromising, marauding play which is a thorn in the side of any opponent they face.

A total of twelve awards were handed out during the annual Munster Rugby Awards, see here for the full list.
