The Fijian Drua have today announced the signing of Flying Fijians prop Mesake Doge and Tokyo Olympics 7s Gold Medalist Iosefo Masi for the next two Super Rugby Pacific seasons.
The duo will join the Club preparing for its second season in the world’s toughest provincial rugby competition.
29-year-old Mesake Doge has been capped 8 times for the Flying Fijians. He joins the Drua from Welsh Club Dragons where he spent the past two seasons playing the United Rugby Championship. He has previously played for the Timisoara Saracens in Romania, making 27 appearances, as well as Brive in the French Top 14, where he played 24 matches.
24-year-old Iosefo Masi was part of the Olympic gold-medal winning 7s team in Tokyo in 2021. He has since been part of the North Queensland Cowboys set-up in the NRL, and now makes a welcome return home.
Mesake Doge is already taking part in the Drua’s pre-season Daily Training programme, while Iosefo Masi will join after completing his current engagement with the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s set-up.
