McKenzie called into All Blacks squad

Chiefs utility back Damian McKenzie has joined the All Blacks to cover for star fullback Ben Smith, who is under yet another concussion cloud.

Smith has had two earlier concussions this season and was replaced during the impressive first test win over the Lions at Eden Park.

Julian Savea, Ngani Laumape, Vaea Fifita and Jordie Barrett have been released to play for the Hurricanes against the Lions on Tuesday, All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said. They are available for second test selection.

Matt Todd, the Crusaders loose forward, has an injured calf muscle meaning Blues loose forward Akira Ioane remains with the squad.
