The Highlanders have confirmed that versatile back Matt Faddes has signed a new deal with the former Super Rugby champions.
The 25-year-old, who can play on the wing or at centre, has been a consistant performer for the Dunedin-based franchise in recent seasons and the team has rewarded him with a new contract.
In a video released on the Highlanders twitter page Faddes said:
"I am proud to announce that I have re-signed with the Highlanders until 2019, it was a childhood dream to play for these guys and it is a real privilege, so we will see you against the Blues next Saturday night," Faddes said ahead of their match against the Blues in Dunedin.
