Mathis Ferté extends stay with Brive

CA Brive announced that U20 international Mathis Ferté will be extending his contract with the French Side. 

After arriving at the club in 2018 in Crabos, Ferté made his debut in the Top 14 last season at just 18 years old. This versatile young player, capable of playing in the scrum-half, wing, centre or fullback positions 

Considered a complete player, he is part of this generation of talented players who represent the excellence of rugby development in France. Ferté joined our the Brive training Centre at the age of 16 before signing his first Espoir contract in 2022.

The French U20 fulback made an impression thanks in particular to his burst of speed and his offensive qualities. Having become a young executive in the Brive professional squad, he is CA Brive's best finisher this season with 12 tries scored and made 29 appearances during the season.

At the age of 20, he already has a fine international record along with the European Under-18 Rugby 7s Champion title which he won in 2022. The following summer, he became U20 World Champion with two teammates, Léo Carbonneau and Maxence Biasotto.


At the same time and as part of his double project, Mathis Ferté is in the second year of the INISUP Bachelor School of Management and Commerce at the CCI of Corrèze.

Having originally signed up until 2026, Mathis has extended two additional seasons to his deal, which will last up until 2028!
