Match Report: Saracens maul London Irish at the Stoop

A strong Saracens side put in a powerful performance at Twicken Stoop against a spirited London Irish.
It was a slow and steady first 10 minutes before Saracens won a penalty and kicked to the corner. A strong maul saw Jamie George go over to open the scoring and Vunipola added the extras.
Four minutes later, Saracens kicked to the corner again and another strong maul, saw Barritt go over after joining. Vunipola added the extras again.
It was all Sarries up until the 20th minutes when Irish got some momentum and took it deep into the Saracens 22m, before former Jaguares skipper crashed over.
Five minutes later, Saracens won another penalty and Billy Vunipola took it quickly to crash over, to extend the three try lead. Manu Vunipola added the extras.
Another five minutes later, it was London Irish scored again after a mistake by Billy Vunipola, saw Matthew Williams go over, before Atkins added the extras.
That was to be the exiles last time they would score as five minutes before half time, Saracens scored their third from a rolling maul as George got his second of the game.
Sarries took a comfortable lead into half time.
It took another ten minutes into the second half before Saracens scored their 5th of the afternoon, Barrington stretching over under the posts.
Only three minutes later, Saracens pressed and up to the Irish tryline, Barrington was able to pick and drive over for his 2nd of the match and Saracens 6th and final try of the afternoon.

Billy Vunipola - Outstanding game from the England international. Plenty of big carries, superb on defense and a massive threat all game.
Maro Itoje - Constant threat with ball in hand. Often broke the tackle to get front foot ball. Excellent on defense.
