Malakai Fekitoa goes under the knife
- 2057
Powerful Wasps centre Malakai Fekitoa has undergone shoulder surgery to correct an issue which has been plaguing him in recent times.
The 28 year old had the misfortune of missing out on the Premiership final after sustaining a groin injury in the semi-final against Bristol Bears.
Fekitoa recently appeared on Instagram wearing a sling on his right arm which raised many an eyebrow, but the club saw fit to kill two birds with one stone and have Fekitoa’s shoulder (which would have, at some point, required surgery) sorted out concurrently with the groin injury.

His presence in the midfield will be missed by Wasps while he recovers – especially on defence where the former All Black put in some thumping tackles with a high degree of regularity, disrupting many otherwise dangerous attacks.
