Ma'a Nonu's return to Toulon has hit a few snags

Toulon confirmed the return of former All Black centre Ma'a Nonu over two weeks but the centre is still yet to arrive at the club.

Initial reports suggested that the test centurian would arrive in France within a week of him agreeing a deal to return to Toulon where he would spend two weeks in quartine before linking up with the squad.

However, the 38-year-old is still yet to arrive in France after signing as injury cover following injuries in Toulon's midfield.

Toulon Patrice Collazo spoke to the press about the situation ahead of Toulon's clash against Toulouse last Thursday.

"Ma'a Nonu, I'll tell you about it when he arrives." he snapped.

"We are asked that every week, every day… We get harassed at the club every day. So he'll come when he has to." he continued.

"If I'm telling you this it's because I don't know when it's happening. There are health constraints, there are administrative constraints, visa constraints. Getting someone to come from the other side of the planet with current health constraints is not easy. And having a visa under these conditions is not easy either."

"So if you can avoid asking me the question every day, that would be okay."

Toulon gear up for their Challenge Cup Final this week against Bristol Bears before returning to action in the TOP14 where they will face Castres.

Nonu signed to rejoin Toulon after stints at the Blues and in America.
