Lodewyk De Jager suspended for one match

South Africa lock Lodewyk De Jager suspended for one match after being cited for foul play during a Rugby Championship match at the weekend.

The referee for the match awarded a yellow card for the incident which occured at the 72nd minute.


The SANZAAR Duty Judicial Officer Adam Casselden SC has accepted a guilty plea from De Jager for contravening Law 10.4 (h) A player must not charge into a ruck or maul. Charging includes any contact made without use of the arms, or without grasping a player.

De Jager has been suspended from all forms of the game for 1 match up to and including Saturday 5 November 2016.
