Leigh Halfpenny suffers horror injury for Wales

Wales star Leigh Halfpenny became the latest Six Nations star to suffer a sickening head injury after being forced off in the first half of his side's clash with Italy.

Halfpenny suffered the injury in a brutal tackle on Italy's Samuela Vunisa as the Italian tore forward into the Welsh half.

Halfpenny was caught on the side of the head by Vunisa's knee and was immediately poleaxed on the turf.

The Toulon full-back - who had earlier kicked a penalty as Wales attempted to pile on the points to retain their hopes of winning the Six Nations title - looked dazed and in serious discomfort …
