Leicester dig themselves out of a hole to rescue troubled season

It says something about the runners and riders for the Aviva Premiership
semi-finals when Northampton Saints can send out a second team, who know
that it does not matter if they lose, and push Leicester Tigers, for whom
everything mattered, to the very end.



Leicester had the opportunity to rescue their troubled season at Welford Road
on Saturday and they just about did it.

There is much to admire about the
way they have dug themselves out of their deep midwinter hole, but there was
a tangible sense of relief about the place on Saturday.
