Latest World Rankings: Australia, England and Argentina climb

Wins for Australia and Argentina in round three of the Rugby Championship has resulted in World Ranking climbs for Los Pumas and the Wallabies.

Dave Rennie maintained his unbeaten record against South Africa with his side running in three tries claiming a 25-17 victory while Argentina made history by defeating the All Blacks in New Zealand for the first time.

Argentina's 25-18 victory sees them remain on top of the Rugby Championship table, level with the Wallabies but with a superior points difference of +23 compared to -9.

Despite South Africa's defeat, they hold onto third place on the world rankings but lead England by just 0.21 of a point. England moved into fourth place following the All Blacks defeat with Ian Foster's side equalling their worst-ever ranking, a record they set earlier in the competition.

New Zealand are now just one place and 2.82 points better off than the Wallabies who have climbed one place to sixth.

Argentina have climbed the rankings to the tune of two places and are now up to seventh with Scotland and Wales dropping back a place as a result, to eighth and ninth respectively.
