Fiji born star winger Marika Koroibete's return to the Australian squad is close to a return, according to reports in Australia.
The 29-year old is currently plying his trade in Japan with Panasonic Wild Knights and hasn’t played for Australia since the clash with Argentina in the Rugby Championship in September 2021.
With Rennie permitted three Giteau Law picks for the upcoming three-Test series against England in July, Koroibete has firmed as the third pick alongside centre Samu Kerevi and five-eighth Quade Cooper.
Under the Giteau Law, head coach Dave Rennie is allowed to pick three overseas-based individuals.
According to the Herald, both Quade Cooper and Samu Kerevi had made their intentions known to Rennie to feature for the Wallabies in July.
England last toured Australia in 2016 and won all three matches. https://t.co/13nzpHVV8i pic.twitter.com/KrbQujnQB1

“I’ll definitely have my hand up for that, I think I just have to keep playing some good footy in Japan and if Dave Rennie wants to [request] selection through there then that would be really exciting,” said Kerevi.
