Jordi Murphy to leave Leinster for Ulster next season

Ireland international Jordi Murphy will leave Leinster at the end of the season after a seven-year spell with the province, The Irish Times reports.

The 26-year-old backrow will join Ulster, linking up again with former Leinster's forwards’ coach Jono Gibbes, who was the province's forwards coach for six seasons.

Murphy, who made the first of 95 appearances for Leinster against Glasgow in September 2011, represented Ireland at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 levels, he also made his Irish debut in the Six Nations away to England, and went on to play in all five of Ireland’s games in the 2016 Six Nations.

The Ulster move will see Murphy join Ulster-bound former Leinster tighthead prop, Marty Moore, who returns to the Pro 14 after two seasons in the Premiership.
