Leicester Tigers' back-rower Jordan Taufua has joined French Top 14 club Lyon, the side confirmed on Wednesday.
The Auckland born flanker has joined the club as a medical joker following injuries to Mathieu Bastareaud and Gillian Galan leaving Lyon light on loosies.
The three-time Super Rugby champion joined the Tigers in 2019 and has made 18 appearances for the Premiership side scoring three tries.
Having arrived in Lyon, Tuafua will have to quarantine for seven days in France before linking up with the squad.
He will also provide a timely boost with Lyon back-rower Dylan Cretin also currently involved in France's Six Nations squad.
