Jean-Luc du Preez to miss last two games of the season

Sharks flank Jean-Luc du Preez is set to miss the last two games of the regular season due to a knee ligament injury, confirms sarugbymag.

Du Preez started for the Sharks against the Lions last Saturday, but was forced to leave the field inside the opening five minutes after suffering an MCL sprain on his left knee.

On Tuesday, the Sharks confirmed that Du Preez is unavailable for selection for their next two matches against the Stormers at Newlands and the Jaguares at Kings Park.

However, hooker Akker van der Merwe is expected to face the Stormers this weekend despite sustaining a shoulder injury against the Lions.
