Isaia Toeava ruled out for the rest of the season

Clermont will be without the services of former All Black utility back Isaia Toeava after he suffered a recurrence of a tricep injury which will see him miss the rest of the season.

The 31-year-old returned to the Clermont lineup last weekend, going down only 10 minutes in to the 26-21 home defeat to Brive on Sunday in what was his comeback game.

The 35 test capped international will require "another surgical operation during the coming days or weeks", Clermont stated on their website.

Toeava only managed 10 minutes in his comeback match before the injury occurred. The news will put further pressure on the Clermont management as Toeava becomes the thrid player to be ruled out for the rest of the season following injuries for Wesley Fofana and Noa Nakaitaci.
