International debut of the "Baby Rhino" - Ellis Genge

Nicknamed the “Baby Rhino”, owing to his prolific ball-carrying ability and all-round strength, Ellis Genge has risen to be a prominent figure in a revered, modern English pack.

Genge’s career in the iconic white jersey began on 29 May 2016, his efforts for Leicester had caught the eye of then newly-appointed coach Eddie Jones who called up the 21 year old into the national squad to face the Welsh at Twickenham.

Genge trotted onto the park in the 66th minute of the game, replacing Matt Mallan, with the scoreboard reading 27-13 in favour of the English.

The “Baby Rhino” gave good account of himself, hauling his 1.86m, 121kg frame over the advantage line on several occasions while providing good strength and stability at scrum time.

He has since won a further 15 caps for his country.
