Tributes have poured in following the death of a huge Pontypridd RFC figure. The club said it was deeply saddened to announce the news that "one of its most loyal servants" of recent decades, Chris Kingsbury MBE, died earlier this week at the age of 62.
Others added Chris "will be truly missed", describing him as as a "legend of Pontypridd Rugby" who contributed so much as a supporter and volunteer.
The club said Chris died at home on Monday following a debilitating illness, which they said he faced with “typical courage and fortitude.”
As well as being a staunch supporter on the terraces, Chris was a volunteer at the club who worked with the mini and junior teams and as team manager for the youth squad.
He also represented the club's supporters as a committee member, organising away trips to follow the team.
Pontypridd RFC said it is "deeply saddened" by the death of a club legend.
