How Du’Plessis Kirifi got his name

It is long overdue but Du’Plessis Kirifi has finally been selected in the All Black squad. Born in New Plymouth and playing openside flank, he plays his Super Rugby at the Hurricanes and represents Wellington in the NPC. He has an unusual name and one that will sound familiar to the older generation of rugby fans, especially the South African's. Here is how he got his name
