How Are The Super Rugby Conference Tables Are Shaping Up?
- 2056
After five rounds, Super Rugby has no more unbeaten sides left in the competition and has a top 8 that is currently separated by only four points.
So far this season we have seen two South African teams really get out the blocks well and a New Zealand conference that is a four horse race.
Here is how the competition is currently shaping up going into week six.

Australian Conference:
Despite losing some valuable experience this year, the Brumbies have a bit of breathing space at the top of the Australian conference and it is well deserved as they have been the most consistent performers out of the remaining four teams.
The Rebels, who also lost a few key players, are currently second by one point and will need to improve if they are to keep Reds away.
The Waratahs are in a rebuilding phase and are struggling at this point in time, while the Sunwolves just seem to get poorer and poorer every week.

New Zealand Conference:
The New Zealand conference is super tight at the moment and with four out of the 5 teams sitting on 13 points and the last place is only on five points.
Crusaders, who do look like the stand out team again, are being pushed by the Hurricanes and Chiefs this season and it will be interesting to see if they can keep this pressure up for a few more weeks.
The Highlanders are sadly off the boil this year and losing at home to the Rebels certainly does not bode well for the rest of this season.

South African Conference:
The Stormers are currently leading the conference but it is the Sharks who have impressed the most out of the South African teams.
The men from Durban have already had their overseas tour and walked away with three wins out of four, while the Stormers have had the easier run with four home games. The Jaguares, who are one point behind the Sharks and two behind the Stormer, seem to be up for it this year and are determined to show that last year was no fluke.
Lions and the Bulls are in all sorts of trouble at the moment and the two of them are fighting it out for the wooden spoon.
