Hooper & Pocock both to start vs NZ
Australia will field their two dynamic flankers together for the first time from the start in a Test match against New Zealand on Saturday.
With Michael Hooper having served his suspension and David Pocock in outstanding form, Wallabies head coach Michael Cheika has opted to start the two together in the back row with Pocock at number eight.
Other changes for the Wallabies see Drew Mitchell win his first Test start since 2012 on the wing while Scott Sio comes in a loosehead prop.
"Australian Rugby is very fortunate to have some quality flankers competing for the number seven jumper," said Cheika.
"Both players have been in outstanding form for club and country this season and have shown their class in sharing the spot in the first two matches
"They now have an opportunity to start a Test together which they are very excited about.”
