Highlights: France v England | Six Nations

France got their Six Nations Championship campaign off to the perfect start, avenging their heavy loss to England last season with a 24-17 home win in the opening round. France started superbly, blitzing England with two tries and a penalty in between to storm into a 17-0 lead after only 20 minutes. England had chances to get on the board in the first half, but were kept scoreless by some resolute French defence as the hosts took a 17-0 advantage into the break. 15 minutes into the second half and the French had their third try to extend their lead out to 24 points. England needed a response and the magic of May provided just that as he raced in for two tries to slash the deficit to just ten points at 24-14 with around 15 minutes remaining. England threw everything they had at the French, but the home side showed superb commitment in defence to keep them at bay. With time up on the clock, England were awarded a penalty which they slotted to earn a losing bonus point.
