HIGHLIGHTS: 2018 Super Rugby Round 16: Highlanders v Hurricanes

A strong second half by the Highlanders saw them make it 12 successive home wins as they claimed a 30-14 victory over the Hurricanes in round 16 of Super Rugby. The Highlanders opened the scoring with an early penalty, but the Hurricanes hit back with the opening try to lead 7-3. Despite picking up a yellow card towards the end of the half, the Highlanders would score on the stroke of halftime to edge ahead 8-7 at the break. The Highlanders were in again just after halftime, but the Hurricanes responded soon after with a try to sneak in front 14-13. It was all Highlanders thereafter, as the hosts crossed for a further two tries and slotted a penalty to seal the win.
