Former Springbok and Bulls coach Heyneke Meyer is reportedly set to return to high-level coaching after having signed a deal with Top 14 club Stade Francais.
The four-time Currie Cup winner has reportedly signed a three-season contract with the Parisian club that will start next season, with French publication Midi Olympique also reporting that he will become the club’s director of rugby, replacing New Zealander Greg Cooper who vacated his post in January due to personal reasons.
Meyer, who coached the Springboks between 2012 and 2015, is the current managing director of Carinat Sports Marketing and has recently launched the World Schools Festival taking place in Paarl between April 2-7, 2018.
Meyer also led the Bulls to their maiden Super Rugby title but has not been in charge of a top side since coaching the Springboks to a 3rd place finish at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
