A year ago, all the talk around Scotstoun was of Stuart Hogg’s imminent
departure for Ulster.

We will probably never know how close that scenario
came to coming true, but it certainly added a twist to the 54thminute try
that he delivered in this match.

Richie Vernon was the toast of the place 19
minutes later for adding the try that gave Glasgow a critical bonus point
but Hogg, in more ways than one, led the way.
