Goneva heads to France

Former Fiji winger Vereniki Goneva has left Harlequins after one season to join PROD2 side Stade Montois.
The 36-year-old Fijian has spent most of his career having joined Leicester Tigers from French club Tarbes in 2012. He spent four years at the Tigers before joining the Falcons before heading to Quins in July 2019 after being named Premiership player of the season in 2017-18.
Goneva, who won 59 caps for his country before retiring after the 2019 World Cup.

Goneva’s mixture of pace and power made him one of the Premiership’s most feared attackers scoring over 60 Premiership tries.
He joins Stade Montois who are in the second tier of French rugby.
