Fruean thrilled to be back
Robbie Fruean is thrilled to be back in action for the Crusaders after breaking his arm earlier in the season.
Injuries have disrupted Fruean’s career over the last few years but he made his return to action in last week’s derby win over the table-topping Hurricanes.
Showing off his trademark power and pace in the 35-18 victory, Fruean’s return will give the Crusaders more attacking options as they round out the season, even if a spot in the play-offs is now very unlikely.
Turning out for his side after such a long break however had its own issues for Fruean, who was feeling the knocks and bumps he took the next day.
"The day after the game was I basically bedridden because I was so tired," Fruean told Stuff.

"The shoulders were sore because I hadn't used them in ages. It was good to be out there, I had so much fun."
