Petaia, Polota-Nau and Pocock return to Wallabies squad

Wallabies rookie Jordan Petaia has been named in Australia’s squad for the final Rugby Championship clash of 2019 against New Zealand at Optus Stadium in Perth.

The exciting prospect has been steadily building in his return from a Lisfranc injury that he suffered in Round Three of Super Rugby earlier this year for the Queensland Reds.

 
Petaia will be joined in the squad by veterans David Pocock (calf) and Tatafu Polota-Nau (knee) with the experienced pair also continuing their rehabilitation from injury.

Experienced front rower re-signs with Waratahs

The NSW Waratahs have secured the signature of experienced hooker, Damien Fitzpatrick for the Super Rugby 2020 season.




Entering his ninth season as a NSW Waratah, Fitzpatrick will again be in the engine room of the forward pack.

Cheetahs winger rushed to hospital after having trouble breathing

There was some concern for Cheetahs' winger William Small-Smith who was rushed to hospital after having trouble breathing during training.

The 27-year-old was given mouth-to-mouth resuscitation with the Cheetahs confirming to Sport24 that emergency services were contacted immediately and that Small-Smith was taken to the Bloemfontein Mediclinic.

Robshaw confirmed as Harlequins Club Captain for 2019/2020 Season

The Harlequins has announced that club stalwart Chris Robshaw will continue as Club Captain for the upcoming season.

Robshaw, 33, made his first team debut in 2005 having developed through the Harlequins Academy and has gone on to make over 250 appearances for Quins.
