Matthew Morgan signs new deal at Cardiff Blues

Full-back Matthew Morgan has signed a new deal to remain at Arms Park for next season.

Morgan was set to come out of contract in the summer but has now signed a long-term extension. Full story

Clermont sign George Moala on a three-year deal

After signing Tim Nanai-Williams, ASM Clermont Auvergne have confirmed the signing of Auckland Blues center George Moala for the next three seasons until June 2021.

27-year-old Moala represented Tonga in the IRB Junior World Championship before getting selected in the Blues 2012 squad where he has made multiple appearances. Read more

Tiernan O’Halloran signs two-year extension with Connacht

The IRFU and Connacht Rugby have announced that Tiernan O’Halloran has extended his contract with Connacht up to the end of the 2019/20 season.

O’Halloran made his Connacht debut in October 2009 while still a Connacht Academy player and has since made over 130 appearances for the province. Full story

Ireland confirm women's squad for 2018 Women's Six Nations

The Ireland Women's squad for the Women's Six Nations Championship 2018 has been confirmed.

The side, coached by Adam Griggs sees 38 players from 10 clubs named, with nine uncapped players included.

Nine players named are part of the Ireland Women's 7s Programme. With the Sydney 7s taking place on the 27^th and 28^th of January, players who are selected for this tournament will not be available for the first game in France. Full squad

Former All Blacks front-row Dave Hewett to coach Southland

Southland have appointed former All Blacks prop Dave Hewett as their new head coach for next season's Mitre 10 Cup.

Hewett was the Crusaders' forwards coach for six years but earlier this year he missed out to Glenn Delaney for the Canterbury head coach job. Full story

Lukhanyo Am re-signs with Sharks until 2019

The Sharks have confirmed that centre Lukhanyo Am has signed a new deal to remain at the club until at least 2019.

Am was named as one of the eight uncapped players in the Springboks squad for the 2017 June internationals against France, but an injury against the Stormers ruled him out of the June Internationals.
