Former Springbok Assistant set to land test role

The Georgian national team are on the hunt for new head coach and their newest partnership with South African Rugby could produce Milton Haig's replacement.
In December last year, Georgia announced an official partnership for the next 11 years with SA Rugby, which includes a Georgian team to apparently participate in the Currie Cup this year.
As part of the agreement, various work will also be conducted together on Academy projects, and further age-grade level fixtures and with the help of the South African Rugby Union, Georgian coaches, referees, managers and other rugby specialists will be provided with qualification training'.
Georgia could benefit from the partnership in a big way with former Springbok Assistant coach and former Lions head coach Swys de Bruin linked with the vacant head coach role.
Rugger.info has reported that the South African is set to take over as head coach in May replacing former head coach Milton Haig. Haig was the head coach of the Georgian National side from 2011 up until the Rugby World Cup in Japan but has since joined Top League side Suntory Sungloith.
The Head of the Georgian Rugby Union, Gocha Svanidze, told Rugger.info that he considers it necessary to restructure the Lelos game to a more attacking style. Something Swys de Bruin's sides have been known for.
De Bruin helped the Lions reach the Super Rugby Final in three consecutive years, two as the Lions assistant and once has head coach. De Bruin left both his roles with the Springboks and Lions due to stress and is currently working with the Southern Kings.
