Earlier today CA Brive announced the signing of winger Tevita Railevu until 2026.
Tevita Railevu who began playing rugby at the age of 5 in Nasinu, Fiji, posesses natural qualities of speed and power with the ball in hand led to him catching the eye of Stade Rochelais.
He joined the Maritimes training center in 2016 in order to develop his full potential and take the plunge into the European rugby world. Nearly four years after his arrival in Charente-Maritime, he began his career in the Champions Cup against Sale, scoring a try on his first appearance.
Tevita Railevu, in search of playing time, joined SU Agen in 2020. He spent four years at the club and played 56 matches with SUA. During his time there, he rubbed shoulders with Hugo Verdu, his new teammate at CA Brive.
Pierre-Henry Broncan , CA Brive's Sports Manager, reacted to this announcement: " Tevita Railevu is a Fijian winger with many qualities and whose profile matches our needs. He joined France and the La Rochelle training center 8 years ago, which allowed him to obtain JIFF status. He is a fast and powerful player who still has a lot of room for improvement. I am convinced that he will bring us a lot. "
Xavier Ric , General Manager of CA Brive, is delighted with this arrival: " Tevita Railevu is the 13th recruit to join us for this new season. His arrival strengthens our group at the winger position and balances our squad even more in terms of the number of JIFF players. After "Tex" Ratuva, welcome to "Tex" Railevu! We wish him the same success as his new teammate under our colors. "
