Far-from-friendly Ulster Leinster clash leaves Olding and Scholes sidelined

– 01 September 2014The down side is that they lost outstanding centre prospect Stuart Olding – playing his first game since November – to a first half injury and then saw his replacement Rory Scholes exit injured, too.
A second minute try in the corner by outside centre Jared Payne was superbly converted from touch by fly half Ian Humphreys who then added a penalty just past the half-hour mark.
Leinster replied with a Bryan Byrne touchdown, converted by Ian Madigan, seven minutes into the second half, but that was their lot.
