Exiles square up to the Bears
- 1066
The table-topping Bristol Bears will face London Irish and the latter can expect a vigorous onslaught as the former fight to maintain their number one spot while they lead Exeter by just 3 points.
Bristol were shown up quite unexpectedly by Leicester last weekend at Welford Road, with Tigers very nearly snatching the game at the end of 89 minutes of play. Bristol’s pack were bullied in the set-piece and it was thanks to the brilliance of Bristol’s backline which eventually saw them post a win.
After a truly brilliant first half display from the Exiles which left Wasps looking dazed in the face of a 33-10 half-time score, the latter put together a remarkable second half comeback which eventually saw them win 39-36 as they grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck.
This will be something of a grudge match after a spirited clash in Round 10 saw Bristol and Exiles finish even at 34-all at the Brentford Community Stadium.
