England vs South Africa: Looking at form

After Eddie Jones and England despatched Australia following a 6 Nations Grand Slam, they firmly set their targets on a struggling Springbok team.

The Springboks, under new coach Allister Coetzee, have had a poor season by their high standards and have sadly changed the record books with losses to Ireland and Argentina plus a record loss to the All Blacks.

Eddie Jones on the other hand has been doing the opposite with a side that was disgraced during the World Cup on home soil and taken them on a 9 game winning streak, with his counter part this week limping in with 4 wins from 9.

Both sides pride themselves on pack dominance but only this weekends hosts can put their hand up and say they have that. South Africa have struggled and without set piece & break down dominance the rest of your game will suffer.

England average 3 tries per game and concede 1.7 per game with the Boks the exact opposite. The big win for Jones' men is their accuracy off the tee, converting pressure into points.

England have scored 265 points this year conceding 158 whilst the Springboks have only scored 188 giving up 245

Everything is pointing towards a comfortable home side win this weekend who, looking at the numbers, are winning hands down. Injuries are a concern yes but South Africa don't have a full strength side either.
