England U20 Men announce squad to face Argentina

Head coach Andy Titterrell has selected the England U20 Men’s squad to face Argentina on Matchday 3 of the 2026 World Rugby Junior World Championship in Georgia.

Having attained two bonus-point wins over Ireland and USA, England conclude the pool stages at Avchala Stadium, Tbilisi this Tuesday (7th, 12:30 BST kick-off). The Pool C clash will be available to watch live on RugbyPass TV and Premier Sports.

Connor Treacey of Bath Rugby returns to the starting XV as captain, with Oliver Scola, Seb Kelly, Tyler Offiah and Nick Lilley retaining their starting places after a 68-40 victory over USA.

Treacey and Harlequins’ Lucas Friday bring up 15 U20 caps on Tuesday, whilst MD2 captain Kelly is set for his 10th U20 cap against Los Pumitas.

On the replacements bench, Sale Sharks loosehead prop Oliver Spencer returns to the matchday 23 with Jonny Weimann also in line for his 10th U20 outing.

Following the conclusion of the Junior World Championship pool stages, England U20 Men will return to Avchala Stadium, Tbilisi for Matchday 4 next Sunday (12th) or Monday (13th).

Assistant coach Will Parkin said: “We’re pleased with the outcome of the opening two matches, but there’s been a real emphasis this week on how we can take our performances to another level across 80 minutes. We have made it hard for ourselves at points across both games and that's something we have addressed.

“This will be the first time this squad has faced Argentina, which will be a great experience for them in their rugby journeys and part of what is so good about this tournament for their long-term development. Argentina is a proud rugby nation and have started the tournament well, which is an exciting opportunity for us.

“It has been great to see how the players have supported each other over the last 14 days in different roles, from starting, to coming off the bench and being involved in our non-23 ROSE squad. It’s a tight, connected group and we are looking forward to seeing them represent England again this Tuesday.”
