England handed boost ahead of Six Nations showdown with Ireland as full-back Mike Brown nears return
Hopes have increased that full-back Mike Brown will be available for selection
for England’s
crunch RBS Six
Nations match against Ireland
in Dublin on Sunday next week.
Brown was concussed in the 47-17 victory over Italy
at Twickenham last weekend and did not train with England last week during
their three-day camp at Pennyhill Park.
On Tuesday, when head coach Stuart Lancaster held a press conference, Brown
was still showing concussion symptoms, but it is understood that he reported
symptom-free on Thursday and has therefore begun his return-to-play protocol.
