Earls focused on Irelands Q-Final clash with the Pumas ths Sunday
Keith Earls might be playing well for Ireland but the back isn’t hearing a word of it as he prepares for this weekend’s quarter-final with Argentina.
After Jared Payne’s World Cup was ended by a broken foot, Earls has stepped into the vacant role at outside centre and went well against France.
"I've refused to let my family tell me what people have been saying about me back home, whether it's good or bad. I just have to live within my own head and I'm happy doing that,” he said.
"The past couple of weeks I'm happy just putting on the green shirt and getting out there.
"I'm enjoying my rugby the last couple of weeks, which is great and that helps, and please God it keeps going.”
Earls added that he was enjoying his partnership with 22-year-old centre Robbie Henshaw in Ireland’s midfield.
He said: "If I play, it'll be great. I've played with Robbie twice now and we're getting to know each other. First time, when you play, it is tough to know what he likes, but I think on the weekend we showed a small bit of the partnership we could have.”
