Duane Vermeulen's Ulster debut

Springbok hardman Duane Vermeulen had a decent first showing in the Ulster jersey as they managed a 6-point victory over French rivals Clermont in the opening round of the Champions Cup. 

Some poor early discipline from Clermont allowed Ulster to build a 9-0 lead and the latter then claimed the game’s first try which laid a good platform from which to work for the remainder of the game. 

The 35 year-old Vermeulen was relatively quiet as he adapts to a new team but managed to post the following set of stats:
