Former England international winger Denny Solomona has secured a contract in New Zealand.
Solomona left Sale Sharks in November last year after the Club to return to New Zealand.
He joined Sale in 2016 after retiring from rugby league, and signed a four-year contract in 2018 which was due to expire at the end of the season.
But after discussions with Sharks Director of Rugby Alex Sanderson and CEO Sid Sutton, all parties have agreed to terminate that deal early after Solomona expressed his desire to return to the southern hemisphere.
Solomona has now secured a contract in New Zealand signing with NPC side North Harbour.
Harbour confirmed the news on Monday with the following statement:
'North Harbour is excited to announce the signing of duel international Denny Solomona for our 2022 Bunnings NPC campaign.
Solomona has recently returned to New Zealand after a successful 5-year stint with the Sale Sharks in the Premiership, and before that the Castleford Tigers in the Super League. He reached higher honours in both sports, representing England in Rugby Union and Samoa in League.
With Solomona's strength and speed he will provide some quality experience to an exciting North Harbour NPC group.
We look forward to Denny joining the NPC team and more importantly, the Harbour community.'
