Danny Care in line for test recall - report

Danny Care is being considered for a surprise England test recall for the Test Series against Australia, according to reports.

Sportsmail reports that Danny Care 'is being considered for a shock England recall after four years in international exile.'

Care last played for England in the 2018 November test match against Japan at Twickenham and subsequently missed out on a spot at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The veteran scrumhalf has been in inspired form for Harlequins over the past two seasons guiding the side to a Premiership title last season scoring 12 tries and assisting 15.

This season he scored seven, including one in the semi-final defeat to Saracens, and assisted 17 tries.

Eddie Jones is expected to name his squad to face the Barbarians today and Care is set to feature after Harlequins' loss to Saracens.

The veteran scrumhalf was initially going to feature for the Barbarians but could now turn out for England and even tour to Australia with Jones' squad.
