Currie Cup 2018 Highlights: Griquas vs Blue Bulls

The Bulls got the first blood of the day with a try from Andre Venter. This was followed ten minutes later by a try from the Griquas in the hands of Nicolaas Oosthuizen. The Bulls then scored three unanswered tries and took the lead to 7-28 with half-time fast approaching. The Griquas were determined though and scored in the 36th minute to lower the deficit. They then received a penalty try after the Bulls continued to play offside which led to Duncan Matthews receiving a yellow card on the half-time whistle. The Griquas came back with a bang and scored a try to level the scores. Jaco Visagie then received a yellow card which meant that Griquas could take advantage, which they did, and scored a try in the hands of Andre Swarts to bring the score to 35-28. The Bulls then went on to score one converted and two unconverted tries between 56 minutes and 67 minutes and took the score to 35-45. AJ Coertzen then managed to score himself a try to bring the scores to 40-45. The Griquas continued to push the Bulls till that final whistle and left them fighting for their lead up until the 82nd minute when the Bulls one a scrum and the final whistle blew. An extremely exciting game that brought many great hits and beautiful tries.
