Crusaders punish ill-disciplined Brumbies in second half romp

The Crusaders put in a clinical second-half performance on their return to Christchurch against the Brumbies on Saturday scoring 33 second-half points after trailing the men from Canberra 0-7 at half time.
Christian Leali'ifano found his way over the try line to give the Brumbies the lead in the first half but braces from Will Jordan and Sevu Reece saw the Crusaders blow the Brumbies away in the second half.
Reece broke through the line soon after the break to get the Crusaders on the board before Will Jordan took a penalty quickly and copped a high tackle on his way to scoring out wide with Toni Pulu given a 10 minute breather for his actions.
Jordan doubled just three minutes later after he scored following a lovely line break from Richie Mo'unga. Things went from bad to worse for the Brumbies with Sam Carter sent to the sin bin for a high shot on Ryan Crotty.
Ryan Crotty was back in the mix of things when he put Jordan Taufua through a gap after a rampaging run from Sam Whitelock.
Sevu Reece pounced on a loose pass as the Crusaders punished the Brumbies for their ill-discipline before Toni Pulu came up with a moment of brilliance from a lineout deep inside the Brumbies half.
He stepped through a gap in the Crusaders defence before sending Tevita Kuridrani through to score a consolation try.

Scott Barrett was at his destructive best for the Crusaders and was helped further with his demolition of the Brumbies pack when captain Sam Whitelock entered the fray from the bench.
Ryan Crotty and Richie Mo'unga ran the show in the second half giving the likes of Sevu Reece and Will Jordan some excellent service with the pair making the most of it.
Christian Leali'ifano was strong for the Brumbies but had little support from his other backs while Lachlan McCaffrey continued his fine form with the Brumbies this year and continues to press for a Wallabies call up.
