Crusaders duo re-sign

Crusaders duo Jordan Taufua and Mike Alaalatoa have both signed new deals with the defending Super Rugby champions.

Loose forward Taufua was linked with a move abroad with Scarlets reportedly interested but the 26-year-old still chasing his first test cap and has signed until the end of 2019.

Meanwhile, Sydney-born tighthead Alaalato, a former Waratah and the brother of Wallabies prop Alan Alaalatoa, has signed on until the end of the 2020 season and in doing so has opted to represent New Zealand over Australia if called upon.

The 26-year-old front rower has racked up 38 games for the Crusaders since crossing the Tasman in 2016.
