Crotty a doubt for Lions Test Series

All Blacks centre Ryan Crotty suffered a rib cartilage injury during the Crusaders' 25-22 victory over the Highlanders and is in doubt for the Test series against the British and Irish Lions, his Crusaders boss Scott Robertson said on Saturday.

Crotty suffered the injury during the second half of the clash at Rugby League Park in Christchurch and was immediately replaced.

"He's done a rib cartilage, so I think that Steve Hansen will be tucking into his notebook and thinking who's next," Crusaders coach Scott Robertson said after the game.

The All Blacks squad will be named by coach Hansen on June 8 and have more doubts in the back division as Ben Smith has emerged as a doubt through concussion.
