Cornell Du Preez is back to boost Edinburgh hopes

Edinburgh have been given huge encouragement for their European Challenge Cup
final against Gloucester with the news that Cornell Du Preez, the tough,
all-action back row, will start in tonight’s showpiece only 202 days after
smashing his ankle while playing at BT Murrayfield.



When the South African — who is on the radar for a Scotland call-up when he
qualifies on residency grounds in 18 months’ time — broke his ankle in the
Guinness PRO12 game against Newport Gwent Dragons in October, nobody
expected him to play again this season.
