CONFIRMED: Hendré Stassen to stay with Stade Français

Stade Francais have today confirmed that Bulls forward Hendré Stassen, who was on loan at the club, will not return to Pretoria after signing a deal to stay with the French club.

The 21-year-old was supposed to come back to the Bulls at the end of March, but has impressed Stade Français coach Heyneke Meyer so much that the French club signed him permanently.

Having already made 13 appearances for Stade Francais, scoring 3 tries, Stassen decided to prolong his adventure for 2 additional seasons.

"I am happy to stay in Paris. I am especially happy to play for the Stade Français Paris which for me is one of the biggest clubs in France. To be honest, since I arrived, I did not want to play anywhere else. I know that from this season we can do something special and I look forward to the future."
