Combrinck to return to South Africa for shoulder surgery

Utility back Ruan Combrinck injured his shoulder while playing for the Kintetsu Liners last weekend and is set to return to South Africa for surgery.

The injury means Combrinck will not be available for the Springboks' end-of-year tour and won't be able to play for the Barbarians as expected.

The 27-year-old was recently left out by Springboks coach Allister Coetzee for the Rugby Championship matches due to lack of game time this year.
