Chris Ashton backed to regain England spot for the Rugby World Cup

Chris Ashton has been backed to win back his place in the England squad for the World Cup in September, with Mark McCall, the Saracens director of rugby, claiming the wing is playing better now than when he last appeared on the international stage.

Ashton underscored his reputation as one of the form wingers in the country with two stunning tries in Saracens’ 42-14 victory against Harlequins in front of a club world-record crowd at Wembley last Saturday.
